It is starting to happen: Not a day goes by without an image of some starving animal or news of Arctic ice sheets melting at an increasingly fast pace or a terrible heat wave killing and destroying humans, livestock and crops. Yes, by all accounts, an environmental apocalypse appears to be inevitable, and it portends massive loss of life and a fundamental change to the world as we know it. ( By Ismail Fayed, at Madamasr)
